St. Paul’s Choir

St. Paul’s Choir has earned recognition for its commitment to quality traditional sacred music offered in liturgical Anglican-influenced worship. In addition to singing Sunday services at 8:30 am and 11:00 am, the Choir of 50-plus voices offers seasonal Lessons & Carols services, and Evensong services marking major feasts throughout the church year.

The choirs of St. Paul’s Church are affiliated with RSCM America and St. Paul’s Choir is a member or the Reconciling Ministries Network. The choir sang services in-residence at Truro Cathedral, UK, from July 25-31, 2022 and at St. Paul’s Cathedral in London on August 1, 2022.

RECORDINGS

GUEST MUSICIANS AND CATHEDRAL RESIDENCIES

In a series of residencies bringing some of the world’s most distinguished church musicians to St. Paul’s, the choir has performed under the direction of Philip Moore (York Minster), Stephen Cleobury (King’s College, Cambridge), James O’Donnell (Westminster Abbey), Gerre Hancock (St. Thomas Church, Fifth Avenue, New York City), Bruce Neswick (Trinity Cathedral, Portland), and John Scott (St. Paul’s Cathedral, London and St. Thomas Church, Fifth Avenue, New York City).

The group has performed at regional and national conventions of the America Choral Directors Association and the American Guild of Organists. At the national AGO convention in 2016, the choir offered Evensong services with full orchestra. In performance with the Houston Ballet, the choir has performed Poulenc’s Gloria, Ravel’s Daphnis et Chloé and Stravinsky’s Les Noces.

St. Paul’s Choir has served as choir-in-residence at several British cathedrals (listed below).
