What Is Stephen Ministry?
Stephen Ministry is a one-on-one caring ministry that equips and empowers trained lay care givers, called Stephen Ministers, to provide high-quality, confidential, Christ-centered care to those going through difficult times such as grief, divorce, job loss, illness, relocation, or other life-changing circumstances.
Stephen Ministers come from all walks of life, but they all share a passion for bringing Christ’s love and care to others during a time of need.
Stephen Ministers are not counselors, spiritual directors, problem solvers, or advisors.
The role of a Stephen Minister is to walk alongside, listen, and provide spiritual support.
