Marigold Planting Day

  • St. Paul's United Methodist Church 5501 Main St Houston, TX 77004 USA (map)

Join us for Marigold Planting Day on June 22 at 8 am to 10 am as we come together to brighten our neighborhoods, promote gardening, and foster a sense of unity and connection.

Why Marigolds, you ask? Not only are they stunning to behold with their golden hues and delicate petals, but connect us to traditions as the “Día de los Muertos”, they also offer numerous benefits to our gardens and environment. These resilient flowers are easy to grow, attract beneficial pollinators like bees and butterflies, and help deter pests with their natural aroma—a win-win for both our gardens and ecosystems!

Gather your gardening gloves, shovels, and pots, and join us at St. Paul’s Community Garden to plant Marigolds together. Whether you're a seasoned gardener or a first-time planter, everyone is welcome to dig in and make our community bloom!
